And I just spent all that extra money on a "rare, discontinued s/c." Boned.

This is cheaper than what I see a used TRD going for on eBay...

Oh just a bit of an exaggeration, I probably paid $500 dollars more than the particular s/c equipped truck would have been worth had they not been off the market. $9,200 for a 2000, s/c, trd, with 180k.

Heard somewhere u can use s/c on a 95/96 if you have the urd 7th injector kit. That true?

No. Gadget doesn't even offer the kit for those years. The ECM pinout is different.

For 95.5-96 you need an ECU from a 97 or newer and forget the 7th injector and get six oversized injectors instead. I believe the six oversized injectors is a better option anyway.

Do you need new spark plugs and injectors for this?

In the same way you need a s/c in the first place.

My truck is all stock right now except a s/c and for the most part it runs fine. Seems like most people advocate the URD 7th injector, which I'm currently saving $$ for. The biggest issues with the stock fuel system with a s/c is the smoothness. I'm far from an expert, hopefully someone more educated can correct me but from what I gather you don't see huge gains from the 7th kit it just smooths out throttle response. Although it apparently will add 1-1.5 lbs of boost on the stock pulley which sounds pretty nice. I get 17 mpg in town and 19 highway, when I'm actually wheeling... well that doesn't really matter . I'm a bit fearful of what it might become though. I've seen some pretty low numbers.
