    thanks. So here is the email from pro comp saying that none of them fit:

    Erik
    We do not have steel wheels that will work on the 2005 or later tacoma's.
    we do have alloy wheels that will work on the tacoma's they will be a 17"
    rim or larger.

    So now my question is: which steel wheels (or aluminum) have 3.5" backspacing and will fit our trucks? (kinda the original question again)

    Why do you want 3.5" backspacing again? That's going to lead to lots of rubbing, because the wheel will sit too far out and make a wider path while turning.

    probably for a stupid reason aka I like the look of them sticking out like that haha. Kinda like my old wrangler. I would also like to fit 305s (~33x12.5) and thought this would decrease any rubbing. Would I actually have less rubbing with my current wheels with 4.5" bs?

    hmmm... interesting. So if a wheel has too little backspacing (such as 3.5") or too much backspacing (such as 5.5") it increasing the chances for rubbing? In other words, its best to be in the middle (4.5") to absolutely minimize rubbing for our trucks?

    Right. If it has too much backspacing, the tire will hit the UCA's. If it has too much, it increases the swath that the tires cover when turning, leading to rubbing on the fenders.

    well im gettin a new lift with OME 885s and OME shocks and the dakar setup in rear and a aftermarket bumper so I hope the 305s wont rub. I was also thinkin about getting the 15mm spacers that they add on top to increase height. Do you think the spacers are necessary or should I just wait and see?

    I was thinkin about goin with Relentless because I like the plate style. What about rubbing the rear of the front fender - wont that get in the way of the tire and rub?

    Mickey Thompsons 16s 3 5/8 backspacing clears calipers the further the wheel sticks out the further it will go into the wheel well when turning. I have this setup works well with 3 in. lift .cab mounts cut , 285/75/16 BFGs.
