I have had the JFR y-pipe for 3 years now and have never had a CEL. The rear cats are secondary and will not give a CEL. I have also noticed no exhaust smell from removing the rear cats. I did not notice any increase in sound either. The performance increase was definitely worth it to me.

I would check for an exhaust leak where the downpipe/dump tube meets the y-pipe.

What size piping should be used for the mid pipe is 2.5 too large?
