I have Fox 2.5 C/O w/ resi set at 2.75" lift in the front with a 1" spacer front diff drop (1/2" drop). I've always noticed my CV's were pretty flat with the diff drop and a lot people don't run diff drops with 3" lifts. Obviously we are talking about 4x4 vehicles only. I'm curious if anyone has put a 1/2" spacer on top of the C/O to to achieve a 3.5" lift taking advantage of the 1/2" diff drop. I know people say don't combined lifts and that shocks geometry are taken into account when valving to specific vehicles but is it not plausible? If anything it would make it a bit stiffer early in the travel and softer later in the travel due to geometry of the LCA lever arm. I want thoughts!

Why? I have one. Other than a few horror stories of cracking the diff housing, I feel it does good for longevity.

If you want 1/2" of lift, use 1/4" spacers. I dont think it will be to much of an issue. Maybe getting a different spring for your coil could help achieve more lift. What is your spring rate? 600lbs? on a 12" spring? maybe you can grab a 650lbs 13" spring. You will have let preload and get better lift.

Yeah I read that post before I installed the diff drop. That skid was modified poorly allowing the diff mount to be below the skid. I have mobtown skids and they are designed (spaced) for 1" diff drops. I'm not saying if I came down hard enough where it could bend my 3/16" plate and keep going into the mount but the force would have to be significant and I'm not racing my trucks at 70+ mph smashing rocks like he was.

Correct currently running 600 lb springs and will be moving to 650 lbs. I would prefer not to go 13" possibly losing up travel with more coils or is it the same length cold just spaced with an extra in?

I was thinking to achieve more lift without using up more down travel from the C/O so I'm not bottoming out the C/O.
