The ONLY reason to use higher octane is because the compression ratio is so high that lower octane fuel ignites before the spark tells it to and you get a knock. Usually this is engines with ratios of about 10:1 or greater (higher in higher altitude). There is not more BTU "power" in higher octane fuel. Many in the general population have been suckered by slick marketing which convince them that higher octane is better fuel. (Everyone's entitled to my opinion and so I gave it).

From what I've been told, the Shell V-Power with Nitrogen gas is 100% good stuff with no ethanol added, although that is only available at 93 octane which is unnecessary. So it's really up to you owners to pick your own poison, to either pay less and get the 87 or 91 octane but has ethanol, or get the 93 octane V-Power but has no ethanol. This unproven anecdote only applies to Shell. Have no idea about other gas brands.

Yeah, I've used that site and there is ethanol free, just not top tier.
The shell pump has a "may contain up to 10% ethanol" sticker on the pump, which leads me to believe all levels have ethanol. It's kinds confusing, as nothing states if anything is ethanol free.

I looked at the above site and that could be true in Texas and i am good on some of thos as i drive there often. the statement may contain up to 10% ethanol means the gas is corn mash period....

That's why I mentioned it as a heresy I heard from someone, not sure if it's true or not, but completely plausible. There's no real way to tell other than sending fuel samples to a lab to find out. Always take what I say with a grain of corn ;)

Corn free gas could give better mileage but at .30 more a gallon the cost benefit is lost. Ethanol only has around 60% BTU vs pure gas (might need fact checking here). That's 10% of normal gas that has reduced BTU not the whole tank. Now I buy corn free gas for small engines. They don't run as hot and it's better for long term storage. I work less than 1/2 mile from a station with it.
