3 arm puller to remove hub assembly from knuckle

    if using a 3 arm puller to remove the old assembly is it ok to push against the end of the axel with the stem of the puller? Or is that too much inward force against the cv joint? Thanks for any advice.

    No don't use the CV shaft as a forcing point.

    The hub shouldn't be all that tight in the knuckle but if it is then either hit it with a hammer or use a slide hammer with a hub puller attachment.
