    They fit.
    They’re secure.
I’m Happy, if they’re not.... forget it... they’re kids. I had to cram into the back of my dads Ranger when I was a kid. They’ll live (hopefully).

    How I got here:
Added d-rings to empty seatbelt posts to act as LATCH points for the car seats.
    C9907AC7-AB9E-47E9-A31B-09CFDD4F8401.jpg 30D4A64B-3F2C-4E0D-82DD-2B7D4BE24B4B.jpg
Made up a box to support the front end of the seats and wrapped it in black vinyl.

    1179D290-0232-4A60-86C6-5F441A2A2BA4.jpg
These “tacticool” all black seats were on sale for $80.

    done.

My biggest kid is 75 lbs. He’s testing out the middle seat. I told them they are Baja racing seats and they’re stoked.

Why aren’t they in your Land Cruiser? That’s gotta be absolute misery for everyone involved.

Cant the 75lb'er use a booster seat instead?

I dont have kids, so I have no clue on what's right. Probably for the best that I dont have kids.

Nah it’s not miserable at all. It’s all about how you spin it!
Also, they are primarily in the LC but needed a backup plan for when I’m in the new commuter!

Boosters don’t have seatbelts, neither does the truck. So I needed a seat with some. Haha

You must be short. I would not fit comfortably in the drivers seat. I don’t think I could really get in / out easily either. I’m no cheeseburger walrus at 180lbs and 6’0” tall. It would have to be my only option to go along with something like that. Good luck OP!

You’d need a shorthauler inserted via ASTAR to get me out of the drivers seat w/ that configuration going on behind me.

This actually is the best way I've seen it in any of the tacomas.

    Any mid size really.

Well done those kids aren't going ANYWHERE

I wish you would’ve done this exactly one year ago when I got my truck. My wife’s ONLY request was that it was a double cab in case we have kids. But I wanted the access really really badly. Showed this to her and she said “hm, well go trade it in” o_O

    Lots, straight from the factory.
Nice job OP. That’s pretty awesome. Pretty badass that you spin it as Baja seats to get them stoked!
I just don’t get having kids. I’m not cut from that cloth.

I’d hate to be in that truck period, or any vehicle with crumb snatchers. That seems more stressful than anything I can imagine.
