Back when I had a 3" lift after I had thoroughly worn out my already-worn rear leafs I opted for a set of Alcan springs. I had them custom tuned to sit level on a 3" lift with a shell and a slight load (I travel with mutts & gear. Always). I ALSO had the centering pin moved forward about .5" to allow for my 33" tires to come up CENTERED in the wheel well with no additional trimming. Worked like a charm.

Fast forward to this passed May, and now that I'm on SAS with 37's I really needed something else in the rear. I tried to make it work with some blocks and an extended shackle but I was still short in the rear of where I needed to be. I recently made this right, and now I have the Alcans sitting here unused. They're good springs and did me well. I will include the extended shackles simply because I sure as hell don't need 'em anymore, maybe you can put them to better use!

If you're on 3" of lift and carry payload these springs are probably just what you need. If you're light in the rear then you may sit a little high. Either way I'd recommend NOT using the extended shackles…

If you're on 6" of lift and you're light in the rear these springs are still about right if you use the extended shackles. May have to use a small block, but they'll work better for ya than the factory springs and the 5" block they supply in those kits!

I'm in Eureka, I'm NOT paying for shipping but I will ship if you arrange it. Otherwise I'd really prefer a local-ish buyer. Will be moving in about 6 weeks to Crescent City, want to unload before I have to transport!

Asking $300, OBO. Fair price methinks, less than the price of ONE side new. Only a little over a single year installed on vehicle. So they're just now properly broken in for you, no extra charge ;-)

When you say "carry a load in the rear" how much load are you talking about?

A little background on what I'm working with...I have a 2001 DC identical to yours (even with a shell). I have SAW 2.0 COs waiting to install. If I run the SAWs at 2.5" and install these springs with Bilstein 5150s and about 200lbs of gear in the bed will they sit at 3in (stock shackle height)? I really don't want any more than 3".

    How do they ride?

    Thanks,
    Justin

Plus or minus. I built them with a little more in mind (I have more than 200# of just dog alone). Without a load, no dogs or gear I was a bit high in the rear. It sat level with about 300# I'd say.

Plus to me they rode pretty damned well. I thought they were much better than stock ride even unladen. But that's me.
