I just got my Tacoma used and It's full of dog hair. I think the owner must have had a jack russel terrier or somehting because the hair small and white and circulated throughout the cab.

What are your methods of removing dog hair from your interior? I'm one of those owners that likes the interiors really clean.

Use your hand and a shop vac. Rub it up out of the fibers with your hand and suck it up with the shop vac.

damn dogs.. just picked up a used bedrug that was used to transport dogs for many years.. so much hair!

Couple of things you can do.. use a pair of normal latex glove, and just go over the surface with it and the rubber should pull out and gather all the hairs together.

or you can also get one of those lint rollers (but larger ones made for pet hair) from target or walmart and go over the surface with that..

I know it's a pain, I'm still grossed out by the fact that the bedrug was used by dogs, cleaning is not going as well as I would have liked, I might end up selling the rug again..

It's hard to get all the hair to the surface. It seems as if it is embedded with the fibers of the interior. The carpet under the fold down seats is coated and it won't rub out. I've tried 5 or 6 times to pic and vacuum it in the last two weeks I've had the car and no dice.

There's even dog hair between the front seats and the console and I't hard to get a vac in the creases. I like dogs, but not in my pickup.

I will try this method today. Sucks cause I think I can smell the dog also. Any thoughts on odor in cab?

allow baking soda to sit in the carpet for a few days and then rinse it out..

if no good, then get a can of Ozium spray, it kills bacteria in the air causing the smell..

    also time cures..

if you get rid of the dog hair, a lot of the smell will probably go away as well.

This is one reason why I hate dogs..

Try using some duc tape to clean out the hair. It might take sometime but it will come off.

Any one who won't allow their dog(s) to ride in the cab with them must be a cat person, ewh...

I know I'm getting old, but to me, nothin' looks more American real man than a pickup truck driven my an old guy with his dogs ears flappin' in the breeze, looking out of the passenger side window. Simple things still make me happy.

I keep our lab in the back set and put down that stuff you put in kitchen cabinets to stop her from sliding around. I like the idea of a outdoor rug....

for those that put their dogs in the bed, do you have something so they don't slide around on the plastic? and what if the dog tries to jump out?

Replace that smelly dog with one of these and it's still the same vibe..

I'll take that jacket over a smelly dog any day. :)

Hunting dogs travel in a kennels. It's not safe to ride in the bed unless you are traveling at low speeds and in low traffic area's. Dogs will fall out if they are not used to riding. You have to start them young and they learn.

A rubber bed mat would help for traction.
