So I’m upgrading my stock Taco soon with a 3in lift and I liked the idea of 33/12.50r15 BFGoodrich T/A Mud Terrain KM2’s. Should I expect any significant rub that would need any trimming?

Not a troll.. I’m just relatively new to trucks and I’ve found I love em. Obviously I’m kinda out of my league here so I guess I’ll do some more research. Any advise to avoid having my Calipers getting whacked, smaller size tire?

Yup. 16s are the smallest wheel you want to run and grinding the calipers is a bad idea.

With a 3" lift you are going to need upper control arms and will likely have vibration that you'll be chasing. This is covered in the suspension forum here.

If you're set on 33s (285/75/16) you're most likely going to rub on the cab mount. The cab mount chop corrects this but it involves more than just trimming some plastic. If you don't want to do the cab mount chop (cut the frame and weld a plate on it), you can run 255/85/16.

Check the wheel/tire forum for recommend wheel sizes and offsets and info on recommend tires and sizes.

Some on here don't rub at all running 285s but your alignment needs to be perfect, with the correct wheel offest/backspacing/width and most of those that don't rub are likely mall crawlers.

With an angle grinder/cutoff wheel. There should be lots of threads regarding the cmc.

3" lift on 33 inch Nitto's with 18" Fuel wheels. N-Fab step bars. Husky floor liners.
I run 285/65/18 with no rubbing at all. Wheels are -12 offset. I do some light off roading while deer huntin and no issues.

If you with 305/65/17 tires it will give you the wider look but probably only minimal rubbing at full lock. You will most likely need adjustable UCA's to push the wheel forward and be able to align it. I get minimal rubbing at full lock when backing up with my setup and I did not do the cab mount chop. A true 33x12.5 tire will rub more because it's even wider. My wheels are 17x8.5 with -10 offset.

:gossip: You can run 33s with a 2-2.5” lift if you’d like to go that route.
