    So I'm pretty much locked in on the 5100's and the icon progressive aal 3 leaf setup. Then I heard installing the aal will slightly lessen the payload. I'm not concerned about hauling rocks, I'm concerned about towing. I use my truck for towing my boat, 17 foot tracker so nothing too heavy. Anyone have any input on how the truck handles towing with the aal installed?

    Where did you hear that? You can't change the payload of your truck, you can only change how it will handle the load. The AAL will improve it's ability at least it has with mine. If you are really concerned you can leave the overload leaf in and you can always add air-bags.

    I read it in one of the threads on here, can't remember what one. But I think it was talked about where removing the overload spring and adding the aal lessens the payload, or like you said lessens how it handles the payload. In my mind I'm adding more leafs so it can only make it better... If I leave the overload leaf in it will be more than 1.5" in rear correct? I want to level my truck by adding 2.5" in front and 1.5" in rear. If the truck tows fine with the aal without the overload then great.

    Leaving the overload got me 2.25" right away but it settled down to 2". If you think you will add the overload in later then leave the center pin a little long so you can reuse it when putting the overload back in.

    Work in progress, but installed so far; 265/70/17 Duratracs, Spidertrax, OME885X coils with OME lean spacer, OME N140S and N182 shocks, Wheeler's 1.5" 3 Leaf Progressive AAL (kept the overload), LR UCAs. TP14 spacers
    x2 with the Wheeler's 3 leaf and overload installed

    Hmm well If it settles down to 2" that's not bad, that would make it only .5" taller than the front, as It sits stock now it's 1" taller in rear. So it would not be too noticeable... Thanks for the input.

    I have been doing a lot of reading since I started this thread, I'm dead set on bilstein 5100's in the front and rear and 2" aal in the rear. Where I can't decide is to go with the eibach springs or the ome 885's up front. I hear good about both. Any thoughts?

    i'm trying to better understand this, i read in another thread that you can get the 5100s all around then get the 885s with a 1/2" spacer and it will give you 3 inches up front and you can leave the 5100s set at 0. Also the 1/4" spacer on the driver side to eliminate taco lean. My question is what would i need for the rear? If i did aal how many do i need to add or if i just buy an all new leaf pack what size does it need to be? I want a full 3 inches no 2.5 or 2.75. I'm also aware of buying new UCAs. Also what is the biggest tire size without rubbing that could be ran with this set up? I was hoping for LT285/70R17 DuraTracs, a tire converting chart says that converts to 32.71". If those wouldn't fit I guess my next option would be LT265/70R17 which equal to 31.61". I drive a 2013 V-6 Access Cab if that information is need for configuring anything.

    Im no expert but from my understanding if you have an access cab you should run the 884's, that would get you 2.5" of lift then throw in some 1/2" spacers and you should be good. The 885's are for more weight (double cab). With the 5100's you dont want to go more than 2.5" with spring lift, any more and I have read about issues such as the shock reaching max extension too easily. 2.5" of spring lift and 1/2" spacer and you there.

    Not sure what your budget is but this is a nice kit, would recommend uca's though, this kit also has the eibach springs and spacers pre installed which is nice.

    I ended up going with the eibach springs. 5100's all around and 2" aal in rear. The ride is much stiffer but I really like it. Time to get dirty. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1373051953.703914.jpg
