3" Toytec lift with, Billie coilovers and LR UCAs. No rubbing at all at full lock on either side in either direction so no trimming required.....yet. I'm anticipating some and I'm sure I'll need to ditch the mudflaps.

you are correct sir! also depends on tire brand, model, load rating and the width of the rim there on.There is a post about tire ture size i think its on 35,s" how each measured up on the truck unload and not under load its kinda surprising to see how different each brand is.

I need to due less caster on my uca and add some more to my lca from what im reading.I'm hoping that will stop the rub im getting on my frame near cab in front of the cab mount.

Heres what mine looks like after trimming and CMC. (2.5" lift and LR UCAs) As you can see, I still have minor occasional rubbing if I take it off road. I'll probably trim back more of the cab mount eventually. Hope it helps for anyone.

I didn't read all the post the but I will post what I had to do on both vehicles:

    2008 TRD Sport DCLB 4x4
    OME lift with LR uca's
    17x9 XD spys with -12
    285-70-17 duratracs
Had to trim plastic, flares and CMC: no rubbing at all now

    2009 TRD Sport DCLB 4x4
    Same lift
    17x9 Jesters
    285-70-17 BF All Terrain KO's
Did same trimming and CMC: never tested to see if they were rubbing but made sure it didn't

I find it hard to believe that anyone can fit 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 without trimming. They must not hit any bumps while turning the wheel.

i agree, I have 265's and stock rims and I rub when I turn the wheel and hit a curb.

So for the delayed reply. I'm not sure what the specific offset and backspacing of these wheels are, and I haven't been able to find anything conclusive on the web about it either....and of course the dealer doesn't know. But, I'm guessing they might have something to do with the fact that I don't have any rubbing issues.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Took it out for some mild wheeling in the mountains this weekend. Did great.

I would have to say yes, because they do have offset. The offset with a wheel spacer, 1.25", in my case anyways, gave me no issues with rubbing while turning, even when loaded, just slight rub on a small plastic nub on front bumper. I will report back when I get UCA, as to wither that helped or not. But itll probably be a few thousand miles, as I have no issues right now and tire ware seems pretty good, but its only been about 2k miles so far

Had my 285s on for about 3 weeks and am consistently getting 17mpg with a pretty fair mix of city and hwy driving. Still absolutely no rubbing either. Setup has been great so far!

Caster definitely plays a part in it. Adjustable uca's that bring back a lot of caster will make a CMC more likely. I suspect guys with stock uca's are trimming more at the front of the wheel well

FWIW, my caster ended up being 1.7, and zero rubbing.

That's about where I ended up. I think it drives pretty well. Tracks straight, doesn't wander too much.
