I wasnt sure but the gentleman just below my post said
I believe it depends on which model you have. I was suggesting the 15-16 inch rims because they make 10 inch wide with proper offset though. Biggest thing is trying to get as close to the upper arm as possible so that your swing isn't going to be an issue. Might note that you still need to clear the sway bar if you leave that in.

    I suppose I hadn't considered 5-luggers. I'm pretty confident there aren't any 6 bolt trucks that'll work with 15's.

So I put 31x10.5x15s on my regular cab Tacoma with a 1.5" front spacer and it's a lovely fit. I'll post pictures up soon.

My 98 has 4 in.beefed blocks, QA1 up front, turbo. My 15 4x4 stock looking for lift and tires.
I just bought a 2015 dbl cab 4x4 sport with 17 inch wheels. Im also wanting to run 33/12.50/17s I was hoping to buy new rims now and do a lift and 33s later. I've been reading post after post about this and have not come up with one clear answer. Does anyone have pics of there 33/12.50/17s on there dbl cab tacoma. What i'm looking for is wheel and lift specs. A common size wheel I found on here is 17x9 rims with a -12 offset and a 4.5 inch backspace. will this size rim be ok for my stock tires 265/65/17 till i buy a lift and the bigger tires. Also what size lift would be required with out cutting up my cab mounts and fenders.

Your going to have to do a cbc regardless it does not matter on the lift

Ok well I found a guy who can do the CMC for me for 100 bucks, Finally got my lift still looking for tires though. Xmas makes it tough for truck mods. But shortly after xmas I plan on getting some tires. Still not sure on brand looking for and aggressive sand tire. Something good for mud and sand and trail. Im hopping to pull it off for about 1200 bucks. Any sugggestions.

Apparently it's trendy these days to hate on BFG KO2s but I have them on my 04 and they're the best all around off-road tire I've ever had. Great on the street, too. If they fit within your budget I would seriously consider them.

I found the ko2's to plug up in mud. the ko's were way worse. the new general grabber mt is out. they tend to be more sand based as a company. hence the red letter ones you see.
It fully depends on size as some tires are better wide then narrow. others are the opposite.

I ran 33x12.50s on Fuel 20” wheels with 0 offset. Never had an issue except full lock in reverse. (4” RC lift).
