My 33s are 12.50x20. The 35s I might trade for are 12.50 also.

Im still trying to sell but if I can't then I have no other choice but to keep it. Its looking like im going to have to keep it cause all I am getting is low ball offers.

You could always get the tires, throw 'em on the truck, and hope for the best....

Or ask questions to the people who've done it before.

I'm not going to install tires if I can stuff them and do damage.... no way. I will be wheeling, and my main reason for pushing another tire size is to offset my length being a double cab long bed.

The reason I ask is because my current 285s, being mud terrains fit pretty well. I only rub very very occasionally, and it doesn't do any damage. I have to be turning and hitting a large bump at the same time. I figure a generous cab mount chop, and maybe a little shaving on the front fender for now and I could fit the next size up. (eventually I want one of Tim's bumpers).

The problem is that they won't. Not without a bigger lift or an excessive amount of cutting. You said that they tires look like they will fit if you cut the mud flap some more. Keep in mind the travel of the wheel. If you have 35's tucked up into your wheel well with hardly any space to spare, first bump in the road you hit is gonna start rippin off some plastic. Ask questions, and don't go the easiest route you can man. I'm not the best in the world with cars, but don't turn away people's experience and advice because it "looks" like it'll work

Just do it and cut where you need to man. Shouldn't be that difficult.

You won't ruin it, just saying... unless you get a bigger lift, taking a short cut is what's gonna end up hurting your truck, not the tires. IMHO, your truck looks damn good with 33's.

yea i know i was more going towards the fact of that there will be a whole lotta modifying needed. anything is possible of course just will take a while to work all the quirks out. on my gti which was a whole nother ball game i had to cut out fender liners and make tubs out of a trailer wheel guard etc etc just to slam my car properly. a lotta work but possible

    true this dude.

my 3 inch kit is on the tall side and my 295-70-17's took the cab mount chop, removing the mud flaps and trimming the flare back to get them to play nice.

i had the option of going with 35's like 2 months ago i had the money it was just a matter of deciding if i wanted to get involved in cutting grinding and beating the wheel well back plus either clearancing or removing my flares altogether on a brand new truck and i decided against it that and with a true 35 you probably won't be able to skate by with out regearing both axles.

35's will be a major drag on things from a performance stand point that is a serious consideration and the deciding factor of my decision against going with a 35 inch tire.
