The center console is a deep hole, and a lot of junk fits in it. The is my attempt to make an organizer. The first step was to make a pattern of the console's shape. I used the felt at the bottom of the console. After making two bottoms for the dividers, I realized that the dividers would not slide into the console, so the short side was removed. Which worked out even better.

There are two bottom pieces that did look like this. I had to cut the narrow side off.

Second: I cut out all the pieces for each divider. You can see the new shape of the bottom pieces. The bottom pieces have slots for the dividers to fit into.

This is the top divider in clamps.

This is the top divider before sanding and painting.

The bottom divider has no bottom. It sits on top the the console's felt.

    All 3 pieces.

When I removed the felt from the bottom of the console, I realized there is a lot of wasted space below the console. I came up with an additional plan. I made a larger hole in the bottom on the console. Most on the holes were already there. I made the hole (bottom in the picture) bigger.

This is the bottom divider, and you can see why I enlarged the hole. S&W fits nicely.

This is the middle divider. I covered the floor of the dividers with red felt.

This is the top divider. I use it to keep change. Also the handle of the S&W is not each to see. The only way to see it is from this straight down view.

This is a better view of the S&W sitting in place.
