Been searching but couldnt find a good answer about cv angles and a 3" lift.

I ordered a 3" lift that consists of some OME 885s with bilstein 5100's and a 1/4" top plate and 3/8" top plate. Do you think I should be ok with the CV angles?

    Any info would be great.

    Thanks

IMO I would try to keep your lift around 2.5", not just to save your cv boots but to keep some down travel. The more lift you add to the front the more down travel you lose. Also you will get a better alignment. I had my truck at 3" with aftermarket upper controls and lowered it to 2.5" and I am much happier with it.

Should have mentioned I also bought camburg UCA's.

Can I just remove those spacers to go down to 2.5 with the 885's and the 5100s? Ill just need an 1/8" spacer for the taco lean right?

I have Camburg arms as well. 885's and driver side lean spacer should sit your perfect.

Dam, i was really hoping for a 3" lift. I guess i can just remove the top plate spacers and add the 1/4" to the drivers side.

    Thanks.

You can run 3" and probably be fine, I just offered my experience. I had 5100s with 2.5 inch lift, OME set up at 3 inch, radflo coilovers at 3inch, then dropped them to 2.5. For me I like 2.5 inches better.

Thanks alot for your input. Thats what im looking for. Since i purchased every already pre assembled from wheelers, i guess i can install and let it settle then go from there. If theyre still bad, ill just remove the 3/8 spacer and swap the assembly with the 1/4 spacer to the drivers side and leave the pass w/o a dspacer.

    Too few to list.
With the 885's and the lean spacer, there's about a millimeter of space before your CV boot fins touch. Any higher and they will definitely touch and your CV will eventually develop a groove that will lead to it tearing.

Is that just the 885s and 5100 or 885, 5100 and top plate for full 3" lift?

That is only with the 885x, 5100's and lean spacer - no top plate and it's DCLB 4x4. I installed top plates and the boots were definitely rubbing. I took them off as I didn't want to pull CV's for torn boots just for looks.
