Hey guys. So am looking to get a 1st gen Tacoma with the 3rz motor/2.7.
I know for a fact that I will lift it. I just cant decide weather to go with 3" or 6"?
Im leaning more towards the 6" and the put some 33" 11.50s on it with 4.88 gears.
If anyone has that done to there truck, please give me your input, like on power loss.

I have a 96 2.7 with Procomp 4 inch lift and then swayaway coilovers cranked up about another inch, with 33 x 12.50 tires. I think the look is great, and no rubbing issues with the tires since I added the extra coilovers. I did have some minor trimming with just the 4 inch lift. I ran it with stock gears for over a year before getting 4.88s, which made a huge difference in the power with the 2.7. Before the gears, any incline on the freeway was torture, but it worked.

Yeah, i am for sure gonna get gears weather i go with the 3" or 6" lift. I presently have a 1990 toyota right now with the 22re and it has a 4" lift with 32 12.50s. I loss a huge amount of power from the 22re. I was just wondering if it was a huge power loss on the 2.7. Post some pics if ya guys want, i have seen a ton of tacomas with the 3" lift but not one with the 6" lift.
