Discussion in '2nd Gen. Tacomas (2005-2015)' started by snoop337, Aug 7, 2017.

?

I'm currently stock in used to a full sized truck. Should I get a leveling kit and keep the stocks ?

I think a lift with bigger tires looks more proportional than stock.

Lift, tires, and don't use a spacer, get some real adjustable coilovers.

Plenty mods on many vehicles since 1982. Current: 15 Tacoma 4X4 V6 TRD OR Access Cab Pyrite Mica- Icon full stage 7, All-Pro APEX sliders & rear Expedition Springs + custom Tampa Springs leaf spring upgrades, Timbren bump stops, u-bolt flip, Road Armor front stealth winch bumper & rear steel, Warn Vr 8000, Nitto Terra Grappler 285/75/r16, Off Grid Engineering Dual Battery system, SPod 6 switch, 2 pairs Rigid D2 spot & flood in bumper, ARE Expedition Cap, bedglide,Tru Cool 45K GVW add on transmission cooler, Re-gear to 4.56, rigid rear bumper floods, scan guage II, rigid ditch lights. full size spare on matching factory wheel, seat mods/insert, CB w/magnet mount.
You can get 33" tires with out cutting your fenders by installing a suspension upgrade including coils or spacers and a leaf spring pack like the All Pro Expedition series. I strongly recommend purchasing a full suspension upgrade including adjustable, extended travel coil over shocks, compatible Upper Control Arms, extended travel rear shocks and an add a leaf pack or replacement progressive springs. My Icon Stage 7 system is fantastic and drives like a Cadillac in ALL road conditions. I highly recommend the All Pro expedition rear springs too. I typically carry 700+ pounds in the bed and tow 3-5000 pounds of loaded trailer. Truck drives over pot holes and washboard at reasonable (fast) speeds and 80 on the interstate almost hands off. I've got a solid 3" lift in the front and about 4.5 in the rear. Try this ?
