No for the most part sometimes if I have the wheels cranked all the way backing into a parking space it will barley rub, no spacers 4.5 back spacing on 17x8 rims.

I'm looking at getting the 3" Toy Tech Boss w UCA, full rear (not add a leaf), and possibly the 1" body on my 2005 TRD Offroad ext cab. Do you think k I can put 285/75/16 on my stock 16" rims without rubbing?

    *Sigh*

You will rub. How much depends on how much you cycle the suspension. I had to trim some just driving on the street and entering parking lots etc.

Hate to be the guy to cause a *sigh*

Bear with me, I'm new to this and just trying to figure out the biggest tire I would be able to put on my 2005 TRD Offroad ext cab 4x4 without any rubbing at full lock (trying to stay away from using spacers due to reading other threads saying they are not good) for:

    Option A:
Keeping stock 16" TRD rims (I don't have a problem with and like the stock rims and would save $$$ not purchasing new rims)

    Option B:
Buying new rims (what rim/tire combo is PROVEN to work, I'm not too picky on getting a certain style more concerned w no rubbing for performance)

Also is it worth getting the 1" body? Some people are telling me to get it to have the full 4" but some people are telling me not to bc it is more trouble then it's worth and can cause issues?

Any help and/or recommendations are greatly appreciated, Thanks!!!

I'm of the opinion that 1" isn't going to hurt anything. If you read any of the Hilux forums, those guys put body lifts on everything because they have way more strict laws than we do. The biggest obstacle to 285's is the body mount and the only way to resolve that is liberal cutting or total relocation.
