Haha I had a 6" on my silverado with 35s but kinda wanted to go smaller with the taco and figured the 3" with like 33s would still be a head turner

Yeah man, check out the 2nd gen builds and see what you like. I personally like 3" better but get what you want. The DCLB's do look so sick

    The consensus on tacoma world:

6 inch lift for show, 3 inch lift for go. Drop bracket lifts wont do much for you offroad. What are you looking to do with the truck, how often do you offroad, if at all, is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

If your truck is 2wd you can get good suspension components and get an aftermarket lift spindle to get you up to the heigh of a 6inch lift.

I've had both 3" and now 6". You set on having to cut your x-member?

I prefer my current drop bracket set up
    Good luck deciding!

I dont understand how people can be so sure of them selves when saying 6" lifts are a no go and just for looks. I had an 08 Taco with a 3" ProComp and it was great! I loved that truck and that lift. I traded it for an 08 FJ and immediately regretted it. I've since fixed my mistake and bought a 2014 Taco Access Cab 4x4 and wanted more than a 3" lift. I stayed with ProComp and got the Stage2 6" lift. I Love my damn truck and my lift! Everyday I walk out to it I fall more and more in love! I've taken it off road HARD and caught some air in doing so on my 35 BFG KM2s. I can take my truck anywhere you 3" die hards can any day. Only difference in my mind is the price, and of course the great look you get with a 6" and way over sized 35's that make you constantly trim your front fenders :) Do what you feel is right sir ! either way you'll be satisfied and able to take your rig where you desire !! Good luck in your choice.

Since it's a new truck I would stick to a 3" unless you have the $$$$ flow to do it right then go with the 6"

I personally love my 3" lift on the Tacoma and gives it just enough of that look.

I love the 3" look on 33's personally but I've seen some bad ass 6" trucks too. Just do what you personally want to do. Our opinions of your decision mean literally nothing other than what you take from it. at the end of the day you have to drive and love it so do what you think is best.
