So leaning on just doing a BM Chop and trimming and stuffing 35s or 34s in there. I spoke with a local off-roading shop and they said if I wanted to do 35x12.5s I would need to regear. Any thoughts? This thing is slow and I don't mind it, I am really not looking for speed and rarely drive over 70 anyways.

I felt the difference with 33x12 and personally wouldn't go higher with stock gears. Everything I've read about gears and tire size on 2nd gens is that you need to re-gear for 35's.

If you end up selling your 3-inch lift to go a different route I would be interested.

You’ll be fine with a 2” body lift, if you’re mainly a street rig, you’ll be fine. Don’t let these guys discourage you or steer you away from them.

with 3" coil lift is, 15mm offset, 285/70/17 KM2'S, is biggest I could fit without doing some major chopping! Without more offset, height won't matter anyways, at about 11.5" wide, tires will rub on UCA's with OEM Tacoma wheels. Something else to think about.

About the body lift, you can use brackets to raise the OEM bumper covers for looks, if you plan on installing a bull bar, or steel bumpers, brackets won't work.

Good to know, thank you! Happened when I installed the toytec system. The rear bumper has a gap, but don't really mind that one too much, but my right bumper has about 1/2" gap that is driving me nuts.
