    Ok so here goes,
I bought a tacoma back in January. 2015 TRD offroad DCSB 4x4. Love the truck, has about 1700 miles. So the other day the my dad called me, he's gunna take the tires off my truck since there almost new. And put them on his. Then he's gunna buy me a set. Like a trade. So I'm getting 265/75r16 duratracs. The suspension may be stock till around April or May, then I plan on lifting. I'll have the tires in a week or 2. My question to u all kind folks is which lift? I was looking into the bilstein 5100 set with new coils and a block in the rear from the toytec website. I HATE having rake. So what would I need to do front and rear to set level with about a 2-3" lift? Don't really wanna go full 3" due to CV boot stress. I don't do much off-roading. When I do it's usually just a bumpy dirt or gravel road to a fishing hole. I'll be sticking with the stock TRD 16" rims and I love a mean stance, can I run a 1.25" spidertrax spacer with stock rims once the lift is in?
I'm open to all suggestions with lifts. Id like to stay under $800 for the lift only if possible
    Thanks guys!

I wouldn't be lifting to get the tires to fit, I know they will on stock suspension. I'd just be lifting for a better look, later on. maybe a better ride. It rides pretty good stock in my opinion.
I'm just kind of confused on what I should do, I want it a little higher in the rear, and I'd like to lift the front to match it without rake. Without going a full 3" if possible cuz of the CV boot nightmares I've read on here. Would I be able to use spacers for stance after its lifted?

265/75R16 fit fine stock, ran mine for a year before OME set up, about 2" in front. Looks better lifted and more ground clearance. 285's and a 3" will open up some issues that 2" and 265's won't.

Which lift did u have? Send a link if u can. Anyone familiar with spacers on stock rims? I've heard that without a lift if u run spacers on stock trd 16" rims that they will rub the fenders. Idk where or if it's only at full lock. Possibly due to the stockers offset or something? I'm curious wether or not they'll rub with spacers after the lift too.

OME will get you 2in to 2.5in. then if you ever want to go up to 3in in the future you can add the strut spacer to increase to 3in. Dont do blocks. the very least do an AAL. I think with 2in to 2.5 lift in front a 1.5AAL will make you leveled.

Your truck looks great. That the kind of look as far as tire to fender clearance that I'm going for. Do you have rake? Also I'm assuming the 884 coils are a little taller than the factory ones, so what did you set the billies to?

Full OME front and rear. 885's, Dakars and nitro shocks. Wasn't much more to get Dakars and I haul quit a bit of weight for work and often a 3k plus trailer. Rides a little rougher than stock but not bad and don't notice it at all anymore never really did. You will have a rake w this set up but it's a truck, it's supposed to have a rake if you use it as one. If you went Dakars and wanted a level ride you'd have to put a top spacer in and prob new UCA's. Been running the stock UCA's last 4 years no prob before or after armor and winch bumper, They are on top of my want list though.

Are the ome springs, either 884 or 885 longer than stock? In other words if I had bilsteins set at 1.75 would the OME springs make it higher than 1.75 or are they the same as stock springs just a stiffer ride?

They're lift coils, whether they're longer or just stiffer or both I don't personally know. You'd probably want to run 5100s at 0 if you're going to run lift coils, though .85 is "okay," but not any higher preload IIRC.

Any suggested setups for a lift anything under 3" preferably around 2.5 while maintaining a smooth ride and no rake? 1/2 rake or so wouldn't kill me but rather have none. Sorry guys Im pretty new to all this. This will be my first lift...ever.. Lol

Or you could leave the overload in for a 2" +/- rear lift with a touch of rake. This pic shows 1.5" up front and 2" in rear from stock on 265/75/16s.

Which one is the overload leaf? Never really looked at them
I may just do the 5100's at 1.75 for now and see how they look with the 265/75/16's in person then if I wanna go higher I would get the coils and leafs after. If I got the 885 coils I would set the 5100's to 0 for a ~2.5 lift up front right? Also how are the CV angles with ur 884's? Think it'd be much worse with the 885's?

The thickest leaf at the bottom of the pack is the overload, with lift coils you shouldn't exceed more than .85 preload on the 5100s.

Billies up front at 1.75 it is then. For now. Do any of you think it would be alright to keep the rear shocks stock? Just try a save money lol

Yes you can roll with them, the billies that come on the OR aren't that bad.
