Nice work man it looks awesome! I am getting 17x9's with a 0 offset and 5" of backspace I really hope this makes for minimal rubbing. The -12 offset I believe pushes the tire into the wheel well more. 12mm is around a half inch

Totally agree with you...that's about how much rubbing I had. You should be totally fine. Post some pics when you get it all installed!

I am really torn up on this issue. Someone is offering me their Tundra 20" Enkei WT4 rims at just $400, but the trucks here look pretty good with 17" stockers too.

Decisions-Decisions..........I guess for me it comes down to cost.

For $1100 the 275/60/20 BFG rubber is more expensive.

The stock 17s need $200 spacers if I run the $900--285/70/17 BFG tires and that is still $1100

So the only difference is $400 for the wheels. If you guys had the chance to change to the 20s for $400, would you take it??

You dont necessarily need spacers to run 285/70 17s. If the offset and backspacing are around 0mm and 5inches then you should have very minimal rub with a 3inch lift. if there is any rub at all it will require minor cutting of plastic. I personally would get the 17's unless you wanna roll on dubs thats up to u

All the trucks look great. I am definitely looking at doing a 3 inch lift and maybe an add a leaf in rear. I was curious as to how your trucks felt on the road and in the dirt. Is it a much harsher ride? Also how much added ground clearance and articulation did you guys get? They all look so sweet! I was thinking of getting either a tough country or REv tech. Any opinions on those would be great also. Any body have the 5100s and know how they differ or what added benefit they would have in ground clearance?

I don't have an X Runner and am really not into street trucks personally- So there is NO way I would ever put 20's on my truck. I don't feel like you can get enough tire on them to look right with these < full size trucks. But to each his own!
