Hey guys. Searched to no avail, but I swear I saw someone post something regarding a 2-3" or close lift with JUST a new shock system. No blocks or anything else. I have a 2017 Tacoma sport that could use a little pick me up, but I don't want to jump into a $1800 lift package. Let me know if I'm mistaken or if there are options. Thanks!

You're probably looking at the Bilstein 5100 using the stock springs. You can lift to 3" but it won't be a comfortable ride quality.

Subed for answers. I'm looking to do the same but just 2''. I want a level (not a bro lean) and the front is exactly 2'' below the rear. So I just want to eff with the front of the truck for right now.

@Lord Helmet - Are you talking about getting 5100s and putting them on 1.75'' or 2.5'' (can't remember highest height)? Nothing else?

For $169 get the OME 887 coils if you want a bumper 886 if not :)
    And the 5100's

Yes but I don't advise it due to the rough ride quality.

So the 887 coils would not work for a stock bumper configuration in a 2017 sport? Very interested in this possibility.

It would but it would raise your front more ! It and the 888 are for bumper winch config's

So your saying the stock springs with the 5100 is a bumpy ride? How about having the 886 installed by Headstrong no bumper or winch.

I went with 887 because I bought a very cool Bumper from Dissent offroad . It's only 65lb but I'm putting a winch behind it so I want to be ready . For bumper see Dissent86 here on TW

What size tires are you running? Did you need to change the UCA or are you running stock? Also did you lift the back at all i was thinking about doing 1 inch blocks in the back. Sorry for all of the questions.

    285/75/16 tire's
No UCA's yet . Only 2.75" lift so gives me time to decide which I want. It aligned perfectly , except for articulation purposes your good under 3" in most cases :).
Started with 3 leaf AAL ...took it off and went with dakars.
If you go with a single AAL..no beg weight add ons or a 3 leaf all :) no blocks needed .
Get a quality AAL, to make sure you minimize noise . The dakars are solid choice ! Wish I had just done it to begin with ! My buddy is glad I did not :).

No problem on questions . It's exactly what I did on suspension and what I do on things I don't know which way to go or just don't know anything about .
Gotta ask to learn ..so for me I gotta ask a lot of questions about a lot of things !
