Hey question on my 3rd gen Tacoma. I put a 3" lift in where I put the blocks in the struts and added a leaf in the rear. I had it aligned three times and my front passenger tire is wearing out within 1000 miles it's not your typical wear. It wears the outside half of the tire like a wave so when your going down the road it thumps. All three allignment shops said one side is half inch higher then the other but that's ok and everything is aligned perfect. Any ideas?

Probably will need upper control arms to align correctly

You need upper control arms. Sounds like camber is way out of spec. Needs to be 0.0* +/- 0.2*. Factory adjustment sucks once you are lifted

What brand of spacer did you use? Thought stock UCA's were good up to 3 inches. I did see on a few vendor sites stating to go no higher than 2.5 inches with stock UCA's though.

You'll need 2 front tires as well. Once they are worn the way you describe, they are done. Will never align properly or track properly

It was just a 3"lift with two add a springs in the back and two preload spacers in the front. I think the front was only 2.5 " the weird part about he tired it's only the passenger side

Feathered tires suck. So noisy. As has been said they are toast and the issue is bad alignment. It sounds like camber is out given that you can see it but feathering (the wave pattern) is caused by excessive toe.

they are ridiculously noisy and now that i switched it with a good tire within a 1000 miles its doing it to the new tire. so i guess ill try upper control arms and see what happens. i appreciate the help. any good place to buy the upper arms?

I find it hard to believe that you don't know what lift it is, what the name of the shop is that installed it and the fact that you don't have any of the alignment sheets.

You trolling us? Post pics of the lift!

2inch. Any higher and you need UCAs.
And I've talked to some that have a 2inch lift and say they had a hard time getting it aligned properly.
