30k in parts...... hopefully that includes brand new rockjock front and rear axles, beadlock with 42s, all link components with coilovers. Not 30k for front and rear 3 link kit only :D

This is more or less like what I'd be building but the catch is I would have dana 60s and the 1grfe.

Don't built a mini. If you still want to keep toyota, go 80 series outer with HF. And get the wms you really want. Don't built a custom axle then add wheel spacer, seen a few folks do that... lol

    14k rockjock axle
    5k coilovers
    4k beadlock and tires
    5k link and component

Aiming high on price... but doable for someone with no knowledge or too lazy to do the research

If you're building a custom axle and still want to keep toyota outers, opt for the land cruiser fj80 knuckle ball and ruffstuff hellfire knuckle. Way more massive compared to the mini that everyone sells on their axle. Will cost more, but well worth it IMO. And go with the fj80 9.5 centered instead of the 8"

I was thinking the same thing. I kept wanting to say Harbor Freight but I knew it was something else.

And thanks for clearing that up 02hilux

    I don't know but I'm sure they'll have a lifetime warranty.

I would go 60 outers, screw toyota stuff for a custom axle. The turning radius SUCKS compared to an open knuckle.

30k for all that??? You could buy all the tools you need, parts and take a few fabrication classes and come out way ahead, bonus is you will have the tools and knowledge to build another one.

I have to agree with slander on this. Go 60 or 44 outers for better turning radius. I have no real reason to upgrade my front axle but I’m after better turning ability and instead of cutting my ends off I’m just starting over. Toyota axles suck at turning.

Totally sucks!! I like my cruiser axles, just hate the turning radius!

Custom housing, just jump right to 60s. I mean that's what, another 1k, so 31k total!
