3 owners under 50k miles

When you sell it, you’ll be the 4th owner in how many years?

All new prospective owners will be judging it harshly, as you are.

I would walk, not worth the hassle, IMHO

 

Smart decision, I would not buy any vehicle with three owners under 50K miles. JMHO

 

I don't see that has odd. I have owned three different Tacomas in the past five years. Funny story, I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport I'm think of selling. Thing is mint with only 38K miles all stock other than tires, battery, and radiator. It has had 5 owners. Talking to a guy about and he was almost offended it had five owners in 25 years! That averages out to one every five years. I just laughed.

 

No, but they offer a 12mo/12k miles dealer warranty. Which is worthless considering they didn't do a good job getting it ready for sale

 

This truck has had a new owner every sixteen months on average no comparison to your twenty six year old truck with five owners.

I see yours as normal but not this one.

 

A 2021 with 48k should still have 12+ months and 12k miles of the 5 year/60k factory powertrain warranty remaining. My 2020's powertrain warranty ends this summer. I'm not sure that the warranty they're offering is worth much at all unless it's bumper-to-bumper.

 

For that price I would find a stock CPO from a Toyota dealer. 100k mile powertrain warranty is nice to have.

 

It's like used dealers don't even care about presentation or attention to detail, which makes the salesperson's job more difficult.

 

I've been looking and there's plenty out there. Chicago is 3 hrs away and Milwaukee is 4 hr. Only problem is they see my out of state plates and know I won't want to leave empty handed

 

Don't buy. Clearly something is wrong, people don't just throw away tacos like that.

 

I don't see 3 owners on a 2021 to be a big deal.
I guess it depends on the owners, and the service records.

Case in point: I bought a lease turn in 2021 SR5 with 12k miles on it for cash last year.
The person that leased it drove it a few times a month to move kayaks.

I'm probably going to sell it this spring, because I want more room like in a full size.
So that will be 3 owners at 30k. Truck has been very well maintained.
Not everyone is emotionally attached to their vehicles. Its a tool to me.

 

That's a fair point. Multiple owners doesn't automatically mean there's going to be an issue. I think the dealer's lack of effort to make this truck ready for sale is the most concerning issue to me.

The average person doesn’t trade that often unless they have plenty of money to lose or in this case most likely something wrong with the truck IMO. You had three different Tacomas in the past five years this Tacoma had three owners in four years.
