I was under the truck just now and saw what looks to be a fill plug on the transfer case. It is right underneath the shift lever on the top of the transfer case.. I thought the 2 plugs on the back side were the drain and fill plug. what is this? thanks

Don't touch it! It could be the Jesus bolt!

Uh, I think it may be the "restrict pin"? see attached FSM page. I can't quite tell what it would be restricting.

Oh crap, you said transfer, my bad...try this one instead. Looks like optional ports for AT neutral and one-touch 4WD sensors?

Ok whats the problem. the transmission and the transfer case each have their own fill and drain plugs.

maybe im just reading this wrong or somethin. The fill for the transfer case is on the driverside of the truck, the drain is at back of the transfer case at the bottom.

thats how it is on the 2002s anyway, doubt they changed it
