hi guys, I have a 2014 ac 2.7 tacoma, being short on funds I have a 3" spacer lift on the front with 1.5" blocks until I get new coilovers. it is mainly a pavement princess but i drive it on a strip job every day for work and mildly wheel it occasionally. I do enjoy the ride quality without the swaybar I tested It. I put it back on because I am curious, since each wheel can move individually it will be easier and more frequent that a coil over will bottom out... i have the 2.7 and stock front bumper also...im wondering if running without the swaybar will increase my risk of snapping a coil over at the bottom or overcompressing a coil over and blowing it out? antone running no swaybar on a spacer lift? and yes I searched I just can't find the results I'm looking for. thanks in advance!

My guess is that the amount of flex gained by removing the sway bar would be limited by the spacer lift causing the shock to bottom out and damage the shock, truck and more I am sure.

Your setup is already very high risk. I wouldn't push the limits any further. My suggestion would be to keep the sway bar on and treat her like the princess she is until you can afford an off road suspension for the front. Saving money could easily end up costing you way more in the long run. Watch out for those pot holes, sir!

thanks for the input, I don't think it's AS BAD being that I have a 4cyl but I knew the chance was there with my sway bar on let alone if i took it off I was just curious if I was overreacting a little bit maybe. but I guess not lol

with all that being said, I want coil overs with 2.75-3" of lift. it doesn't matter to me off their adjustable because I will always run them at full height. i know you can get a full old man emu kit with rear shocks and leafs for like $8xx. can I buy just ome complete coil overs somehwere? I was gonna get bilsteins for 599 full assembled but if the ome kit is $8XX then surely the coilovers should only be about $400

I think you mean shock and coils fully assembled? Pretty much every vendor does that for a fee, but the amount of time, frustration and cursing you save it's worth it.

I can't find any complete ome coilovers sold without the rest of the lift is the issue.

    A few....
I have had my sway-bar off for almost 2 years now and not looked back. I both rock crawl and (try) to go fast through the desert. I havent had a single problem. As far as rolling over with a sudden turn, you wont. The bar just helps with over-steer and body roll. You will get used to it after a day.

I just want the better flex and better ride of being swaybar-less, and I want 2.75-3" of lift, does any brand sell a full assembled pair of struts for a good price? cheaper than the bilsteins ($590). like I said i dont care if their adjustable and they don't gotta he the best of the best this truck mainly sees pavement and strip job roads and slight offroading.

Get the bilstien 5100s and put them on the 1.75 setting with the stock coils. Shocks are about 250 and install should be around 200 or free if you can do it yourself.
