    new clutch assembly
Greatly enjoyed reading the post on throw out bearing on RA-60, 6-spd manual transmission. I’ve recently had mine replaced three times by a reputable repair shop, only to start chirping within 30 days of light duty after each repair. They claim their after-market (not OEM) clutch kits/parts are of good quality, and compatible. I really don’t know. They’re certainly missing something. Should I ask for OEM parts?

It seems more and more that todays aftermarket parts do not hold up very long. Dealt with it many times trying to save a buck and end up doing it many times over until you give up buy oem.

Welcome :hattip:I've had my SR5 since '04. I've always ordered parts from the dealership because the aftermarket parts that were on it were a disaster and didn't last long. OEM parts overall aren't much more expensive than aftermarket parts (generally speaking). Denso / NGK are some of the brands that come to mind my mechanic uses.
