Yeah you should be able to run 285s on your 16's. Or 33's or 32's! ;)

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
that's correct - you'll need spacers to run the stock wheels with 285s.

Spidertraxx is one of the makers, google them and you'll find what you need, they aren't terribly expensive.

Spidertrax spacers - PM LonghornTaco - he runs them on his truck for his stock OR wheels and 285 BFG KM2s.

Yep, SpiderTrax 1.25" spacers. $100/pair. If you put 285s on stock wheels, you're gonna rub your UCAs at full lock when backing up. Annoyed the piss out of me!!!

dude i would strongly suggest you just save up and get the toytec coilovers. with neubs discount it would be 720 bucks. Right now i have the toytec 884 lift coils with the AAL and am currently saving up for the toytec bilstein coilovers. Dont get me wrong the toytec lift coils is a great lift, but the ride quality almost negates that. And if you do install it yourself, be prepared to spend 6 hours on it. Compressing the damn coils is a pain in the ass. And the tool you will have to rent if you do decide to do it yourself sucks. I returned the spring compressing tool to advanced auto bent as hell. Just save yourself the trouble and get a decent set of coilovers.

What is wrong with your ride, too harsh? what shocks are you running?

I want 3" of lift, taking the adjustable coilovers to 3" even though they are adjustable to 3.5" would ride stiffer as well. I'm still trying to decide which way I want to go with the lift.

the rental spring compressors have a hard time compressing the OME springs because they're so much stiffer -- hence the bending.

    (or so I've heard.)

the never ending OME lift thread... lol

What WW said, but you could also look into the OME shocks instead of the billy 5100s -- up to you. :D

X2. The OME shocks are valved for their springs, and give a better ride. The Billies are a good choice if you want to save a few bucks.

im running stock shocks, and thats probly why it rides like crap, but its all good cause im saving up for those coilovers. I also think that my 884's are starting to sag a bit and not giving me my full 3 inches. So new lift for me.

That's why I like the coilovers... As the springs settle, you can just crank them back up! :D

What size tires are you running with the 884s. Also are you not running any aftermarket UCAs?
If I went with Toytec coilovers what would I set height to? 3" ??? To make truck level if using rear 2" AALs. Damn this lift crap is confusing! Also anyone with experience in hind sight would you go ahead and install a lift and keep factory UCAs for 6-9 months or wait and do it all at one time?

I waited 2 years before installing aftermarket UCAs with no adverse affects. If you have the cash, buy it all. If you don't, buy one thing at a time...

Also, if you're doing the install yourself, replacing the UCAs at the same time as the coilovers makes the whole job easier. Just more room to work... :)
