I just had a Toytec 3" lift installed, when I brake hard I hear what sounds like a rubbing sound. The lift was installed on a 2009 2wd tacoma. Any suggestions? If I brake slowly the sound does not appear. Thanks for any information. :(

Are the dust shields on the wheels deformed at all? This caused a scrapping sound on my truck when I first lifted it, bent them accidentially during installation and did not notice until I tried braking at a stop sign.

Great idea, I will go check that. It sounds like that might be the problem. That's for the reply. :)

Could maybe be your tires rubbing... Idk what size ur running but possibly when you brake hard the front end dives more and your tires come in contact with something... Just a thought

Also, was a stabilizer relocate kit put on? If not, maybe you're stabilizer bar is coming in contact with your coils?

Sway bar relocation you mean?? Interesting...

Check brakes..if some reason the calipers were disconnected.

Check upper and lower control arms for play. Did you install aftermarket UCA's?

Check sway bar for contacting coils.

    Goodluck!
