If you use ECT PWR the oil needs to be changed every 5k, otherwise your good at 10k. Also remember to put her in 4LO on pavement at least once a week or your transfer case will be

 

You left out the part about making the hard right turns to provide extra lubrication to the transfer case. we need the extra movement to move the oil around

 

Here are 3 things I have learned being on TW for 9 years.
1. Most members on TW are pleasant and try to be helpful
2. TW is a very active forum. Rarely does a minute go by without some member posting something.
3. I find it hard to skip a day and not at least check TW.

 

You say I should test the oil, but this is just another Internet opinion, so clearly I cannot chose the oil test proposed by you.

Actually, the best option is to change your oil at random unplanned intervals, to prevent the truck from learning your maintenance habits.

2 do it yourself if at all possible
3 someone on here has the answer to your problem
