I used it for thermo 2 until I dropped thermo when I switched to industrial engineering.

Was bs'ing in a shop when a dude came and picked up his 2JZ block that he's dropping into a nissan silvia.
He's doing the whole works. Stroker kit, twin turbo, water meth injection yadda yadda.
    Plans on dyno'ing 1500 hp +
    DD'ing at 800-900 hp

2JZ's can rev to 11k RPM?!

    I need more money

Cool, I'm not that knowledgable on turbos but I'd love to build a car.
    There's just something about it...

What? he is doing twins still?? you sure on that? most guys runningg that kinda power out of a 2jz are big single turbos. Only twin kit out there is by HKS and its rare to find even..

2jzs can only rev to 11k with SERIOUS head work done. 1jzs usually take the high rev medal though. More do 11k the 2jz. Most guys keep 2jzs at 9-10k.

Stroker kit ones though are freak awesome..3.4L..id love to swap one in my truck..guy on SF did a 2jz swap in his 4x4 taco. Be awesome. He is just on USDM twins and such but 300hp still..reliable as hell and sounds bad ass. Be so fun to drive.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he's doing twins... but now you've put doubt in my mind.
Everything will be custom, built by him. He said he's throwing the block in a bath then pretty much everything that goes on will be coming out of styrofoam (brand new)
    It'll be interesting to see
Edit: He said he'll be hitting his boost at 2700 RPM? That seemed really low to me. Maybe thats why he's doing twins, is to reach boost early :notsure:

If I ever went turbo, I'd be with custom manifolds, it'd have to be.
For me, it wouldn't be worth turbo'ing for less than 400 hp since S/C is cheaper

You kiding? Be worth turboing for anything over 300hp. SC to get 300hp takes every damn SC mod out there..and thats not cheap. Slap on this bitch..

STARTS at 300hp..goes up to 500hp easy will supporting mods..

    Dude..

    i owned a supra..

    I built a supra motor..

    Im not new to supras..

    Most go singles.

Compound turbos a sick..but really really expensive. Most can't do that.

If he is doing that then thats cool. Just saying most dont..especially since fitting a compound setup in a supra is hard. Not a ton of room. after the first turbo..

Who makes this and where do I find it?
If I'm going to turbo, it'll be all out.

This is why I don't consider even going turbo without everything. It going to run good and get me home, no half-assed garbage

    Thats always the key word..haha

but according to this guy, with an AEM FIC and injectors and fuel pump(don't have to change regulators amazingly on our motors) you have enough fuel for 400-500hp..and this guy knows his shit..but..ill wait to see first..

    Small shop in CO.

jesus..not to mention the total sacrilegiousness of putting a toyota motor in a nissan lol

not that unheard of..but just funny haha
