Would she be ok with you smoking? I don't know how these things work but seems like when women have "heart to hearts" aka a lot of screaming, followed by crying, and then hugging, problems get resolved.

    Sure you can. :)

But seriously I quit chewing because of my daughter. It's not easy but it can be done. I chewed for 13 years and just quit one day my wife and good friends said hey that's enough. So I threw my can away and haven't bought another.

Yeah it took a while for me to want to quit. It sucks I know. But it's one of those things that needs to happen. I wish I never would have started chewing but it was not that hard to quit. You just have to really want to quit.

My dad smoked from when he was about 14 to 50. We all were concerned as well and did not want to see his health suffer. It took a couple of tries, my grandparents bribed him, I threw away packs and lighters everything I saw them. Eventually he quit because he hated the stop smoking medication so much. The cool thing about quitting smoking, unlike when it turns into cancer, is your body will still repair itself after you quit. Really glad he was able to quit.

Quitting tobacco while in the fire service would be one or the harder tasks. Every man I worked with smoked cigs, dipped, chewed. You are the odd man out if you don't do one or the three, I got into chewing from them

Yes my LT and engineer both still chew. It was tough once you get passed the first few days it's not bad. I used the Oregon mint chew at the fire house for a few days.

Like I said if you don't want to quit you won't you'll go back. I have people chew around me every day at work and it does not bother me at all.

Yeah I still enjoy those. I hate when that pack the cans around me though. It's like rigging the dinner bell haha. I grab them and toss them across the room. :) but I still don't want it. I use to have a chew in all day at work unless I was eating.

My mom test drove a new 4 door wrangler and now she wants one. Said they are really nice. I'm not sure how I can diffuse that bomb but I doubt my dad would let her buy one anyway. He knows they aren't a practical DD.
