    for 1st gens yea probably....not 2nd gens.

JW just put them on..no limit straps needed with the new top hat.

8'' on a 1st gen is a lot. i mean..thats the size long travel truck use..you would never come close to using all the shock with stock length UCAs/LCAs

Edit: god damn it..in need a nap..

you said over 8'' :p haha

If the welding companies don't respond to my emails by the time I'm off work, I think I'm going to drive to the shops and ask.

I want my bumper as soon as possible! Haha and I think I'm going to get the headlight guard tubes now no matter what.

huh..idk if it would be any cheaper..i know a local welding shop in wy still wanted 380-420 to make some sliders for a buddy..

plus..do the kits come with instructions? i know Marks didn't..

380-420 to MAKE sliders? I would just have them weld it?

I don't know if it has instructions but it can't be that hard. Here's what it says on Eric's site:

"The center mounting section comes pre-welded for a head start and a straight and solid starting point. Simply assemble the remaining plates, weld the seams, and blend welds with a flap disc then finish with your preference of coating"

As long as they charge $317 or less, then I will be equal or paying less than what it would cost to wait and have Eric weld and ship it.

yea just saying that the prices probably aren't that different..

sounds much simpler then Marks project. THink he had to ask them for instructions and ended up paying a friend to do it anyways..

another option is go to a local school/college that has a welding program and ask a student to do it. offer em 100 bucks haha they will do it.

Haha as long as it's not more expensive I'm okay with it.

Yeah, should just require you to weld on the "wings" on both sides and weld in the fog light mounts.

Yeah, but I don't want a crappy job done on the welds... Haha

So far one company has said that they can do it, I just haven't gotten a price estimate from them yet.

The other company has asked for pictures, thickness/type of metal, where I live, and how I would get it to them.

I think I like the second company so far. Seems a lot more professional than just saying, "yeah, we'll do it" haha
