That's a pretty unfair way to handle it. A w looks like crap, and retaking a class is a waste of time and is expensive. I would stay in it with the ta and hope they write easy tests. Would have to do a lot of book learning I guess

I just dropped in on this convo late, but if you are in between dealing with a TA or taking a W and then having to retake the class I say deal with the TA. He isn't going to fail everyone. Plus a withdraw doesn't guarantee that the same thing won't happen if you take it with a different teacher. Don't waste your time and money.

If it is TA teaching chances are they are going to use one of the standard tests that are based solely on the book. I would just read the chapters and see how you do on the first test. Those classes usually end up being easy.

There's no reason to drop it, if you drop you automatically have to retake. If you stick with it, best case is you still pass. Worst case, you fail and have to retake anyway. You might as well give it a shot.

That's how my mom convinced me to stick with calc 2. Ended up passing it in one shot (granted it was with a C, but it's rare to pass that class in one shot at our school)

Only problem with that.. If you fail and retake it, it still shows up on your transcript that you failed

We get the slate wiped clean... I think you can only fail 4 times before you need instructor permission to keep retaking. So I could fail a class twice then get an A and my transcript only shows the A

Pretty sure the article said it already passed.

Fucking stupid. But what does our governemnt do that isn't? So if you have one of these potentially illegally items? What? Do the police arrest you and force you to get them removed? It is it more on retailers, saying pierceing places and tattoo artists are now banned from providing these services?

What a buncha crap lol. Our elected officials are all old dogs who can't be taught new tricks and need to be put down.
