30 and younger thread

I hate to admit it. but im sitting here with an hour before class starts with pretty much nothing to do. Its like all of my teachers got lazy before thanksgiving. I have finished all me tests yesturday. I have no new chapters to read. no projects to even work on until after or during break. no homework to work on, no new power points to review... how do I be productive lol?!

side note, there is a prospective internship im applying for, i got my resume updated and im writing a cover letter tonight then tomorrow it gets submitted. GAWD i hope i get it!

 

Just put a 16 nail about a 1/2 inch into my right index finger. First time shooting myself with a gun. Shit fucking hurts

 

You can't drift a Ferd escape. Supid ABS...I'm a sad panda.

And my drive back home took forever because everyone decided their average speed today is 10 mph

 

Today is one day around here Lauren that I am glad I don't have to drive anywhere.

And we had another girl about die giving a presentation today. She got real white and started to fall over. So she sat down and a couple minutes later ran out the room.

 

My 4runner doesn't have abs. I like it. Back to the old school ways of driving like my first Taco.

 

My ABS saved me the other night. Was driving on a roundabout and some car pulled out in front of me and I had to slam on my brakes to keep from hitting her. Locked up the brakes for a split second and ABS kicked in and did it's job.

I'l admit it's terrible for snow and dirt. But does great on normal roads.

 

I hated abs when it would kick in.

 

Sometimes I wonder if I would've hit that guard rail with no abs. I know with 4x4 I could've pulled myself out of it, but I wonder if abs fucked me

 

I could stop my little 5 lugger with 195/75R14 bike tires like a champ with no abs. I rarely locked them up since I got good at pulsing the pedal and downshifting for braking.

 

I know I'm the old guy here but I can relate with the current subject.....ABS sucks!

 

So why exactly does abs suck in the snow? the only thing I can come up with is that it piles up in front of the tires if they're locked up rather than rolling over the little piles that get made when they lock for that spit second

 

It takes longer to stop.

Yeah....the ABS was invented for the average moron than just stomps the break pedal to the floor in a wet/snow situation.....anti-skid. But I agree, I'd rather have manual control of my brakes, even in an emergency situation.
