    I pump my brakes without abs to remain in control. Skidding to a stop is faster but uncontrolled.

    depends on the area here in my town the numbers on paper are 9.8% but that is only people actively getting unemployment. they dont count those not eligible and those who have exhausted benefits. in some places it is close to 50% in some towns...

    There is a reason ABS was designed. There is a time and place for it. Aircraft brakes have it on all main wheels as well, so it must mean it's good. Yes, it can have very bad effects for some people and in certain situations.
