Wow, that's a lot of gas!

Don't get an FJ if you're looking for better mpg's. Not much larger tank either. Sounds like you're in need of a car.

    Fine..

    get the FJ..

but ONLY if im your xmas gift person that your stalking...then you can send me the supercharger..then ill approve the FJ..haha

As a offroad vehicle though..4runners just make WAY more sense..

Plus..FJs don't get good MPGs either..still a big bulky SUV..why they are getting cut from the line up. Toyota has too many vehicles that use get bad mpgs..

Nope I have a Subaru legacy but I don't like driving it. My 07 Tacoma did fine, I just drive a lot. My new house will be close for work. But in winter I'm all over the state doing back country skiing, summer time I raft, back pack, mtn bike and camp all over the state. And in my runner it just seems like I'm always at the pump. The gas tank in the 3.4 is just so small. Over all the mileage is fine but I only get 220 miles to a tank in my runner.

I haven't really wheeled since my daughter was born. I only wheel to get to camping spots now. Even In my last one that was modded to all hell it was a glorified mall crawler after my daughter was born. I just don't want another payment. I like keeping my money every month. I'll prolly keep the runner I just like change.

I know they are getting cut but I've had 2 runners. I've had an 07 off road, I've had a 92 Toyota pick up. I just like the look of them.

i don't think a FJ would get much more out of a tank really..

My 1st gen double cab beat my dads 2nd gen for mpgs by 5 every time almost on the way out to MO

okay thats a horrible example..cause his is supercharged and lifted and armored up and was hauling more crap...

    Dude..FUCK the FJ then.

eventually, at least i hope so, you will take her and even the mom or if you have another kid..you will NEED the space.

Do NOT get rid of the 4runner or anything with a nice back seat.

    FJ..2 people..strictly.

Least thats what id be thinking if i had just had my kid..id want to pass out the experience of out door adventures, camping, and wheeling. And bring the whole family.

Haha yeah, the FJ isn't that great for kids at all.

My mom didn't get one until after my sister was gone and I already had my own vehicle.

Kids would definitely be a pain with an FJ. It sounds like you already have the vehicles you need. Turn the 4Runner into an awesome family trail rig and turn the tacoma into a clean and good looking daily driver.

I take her camping but I don't really wheel with her. And no more kids we are a 1 and done family. I have a wife, daughter, and two dogs. That's enough for to make me die young.

My last 3 tanks were over 300 miles in my runner. About 19mpg. Must be the altitude out there or something. Mine is a stick so it might do a little better.

If the altitude there is anything like here that sounds about right.

I don't know what it is, but when my Tacoma was stock and I was driving it here I would get amazing gas mileage. But in Texas is would fall slightly, and New Mexico was a joke with the minimum altitude being 4,000 feet.

Yeah mine is an auto, I have never gone over like 240 in any of my runners my last there was no chance on 34's with full armor. My current one is just on 285's. But I have an RTT on top.
Yeah I'm the same way. It's nice I just need to mods it I think then I would get over wanting another vehicle.

I'm at altitudes from 6k to 10k on a regular basis, so that's prolly why I get shitty mileage.

Can't say i blame you. Id still take one. i have been trying to get my brother to get one for a few years..hopefully he finds one. He is a backpacker and rock climber so be perfect for him to camp in and use to keep all his gear dry.
