I've blown my fair share of fuses because of it while wiring things. Price you pay I guess

The 5.3s seem to be good motors. My friend has one and he drives like a bat out of hell 24/7, and when I say that I mean it's to the floor every time he comes from a stop. And nothing wrong with it.

I find it funny that people bitch about how crappy their 10-15 year old vehicle is. I'm not sure what they expect. Parts wear out, people abuse things differently, maintenance may or may not get done correctly, etc etc. The car company can't predict everything 15 years later. If you want zero issues, buy a brand new vehicle every couple years. Or lease it I guess. It looks to me like a lot of Tacoma owners have issues, it's not only domestic. My parents never had any issues with their GM products.

My sister and I have both blown one up... Sister was first, it got rebuilt under warranty, then I did it a few months later and pops traded it in while it was in the shop. That one had some kind of flaw with it though, we've had 5 suburbans now with 5.3s in them and that was the only one that gave any trouble, plus it did it twice with less than 70k miles on it.

So overall, yes I'd agree that they're pretty good motors

It's all lemons man, my dad had nothing but issues with gms, my uncle had no problems with his gms but he did with his ford. I know people with no issues with a dodge but then there are the guys who are dropping transmissions and fixing bjs all the time
