No Thanksgiving for me either. Working all day.

 

I only get this Sunday off and work the rest of the next couple of weeks.

 

We're having honey baked ham out at dumont this year, last year it was turkey out at dumont.

 

Well...I am busting out the tofurky again

Sort of, it's a $10 per day rental. I just have to give an evaluation of the car afterwards.

I bet if the CRZ got a civic si engine they would have a huge following. It would be a quick little guy.

 

Oh yeah it'll chirp from a stop, not going into second though.

The awesome part is the electric motor gives it tons of torque at any rpm so I could leave it in 6th on the highway and accelerate quickly to pass.

It's SLOW AS BALLS in the upper rpm range though, the K24 would be amazing in that car, or even better, the 8,000 rpm K20.

 

DSM has King suspension on sale. Doesn't say what kind of discount though.

 

Haha something somewhat modern would make more sense though. 200hp from the k20 and another 60 or so from an electric motor would make a fun little commuter car.

Actually what would be really sweet in Acuras sport hybrid SHAWD system. Gas motor up front and electric motors on the rear wheels.

 

New cars are already impossible to mod the way we did old ones, I'd leave it stock and enjoy almost 40mpg and 300 hp.

There plenty of 240's out there to mod lol.

 

After working in an automotive R&D facility for a while I've massively changed my perspective. Engineers spend a good 5 years developing a car. I laugh when I see some ricer drop his civic on coil overs because they must make it better right? Well they are if you have slightest clue as to how to set them up (damper shim stack and spring rate). More times than not they just ruin the handling engineers spent 5 years optimizing.

Now power mods I can totally get behind still, there's always gains to be made there

You're totally right, I bet that z rode like hell over the bumps though it's always a compromise between ride and handling.

It's also a downside to my job, I notice every tiny imperfection in the way a car handles now so they all feel terrible haha. It's so much more than just staying flat.

As for the ferd f-teen thousands, idk what in the world they were thinking. That crap would never fly at Honda. Yet we can't get over the whole FWD BS! Makes me angry haha.
