I've watched it be done. It honestly doesn't look that hard. The thing that takes the longest is just getting the spacing right with the spacers.

 

from what i have read, Toyota built very nice diffs, but they are VERY picky about their back lash and setting them can be a PITA. but its not impossible with the right tools.

 

yea pretty much.

Rear ones aren't bad.

Front diffs though..major PITA since the outer shell holds the diff together..so you have to meassure through the fill and drain holes..and look at the paint through there..Fronts suck to do.

Rears though are tedious and you want to get it right cause they explode after a while if just barely off.
