Wait... The engagement ring is the same ring as the marriage ring, you just put a wedding band on it after you get married. Usually the size of the main diamond is bragging rights for the girl, so you will win a few brownie points if you go big.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

881s and 882 have the same spring rate..but the 882s are taller. So bacially, you just preload the 882s a lot more to get the lift.

883s were originally designed for 2nd gens and FJs

they are the same height as 881s..but a spring rate..thus they don't sag under weight as much.

Id go 883s. 882s are too long for nitrocharger shocks really and once they are on, you pretty much have no down travel. ARB doesn't even recommend 882s anymore, instead they say 883s...damn i should really find that thread again..

With a bumper, 883s will actually sit a bit lower then 882s. You can always add the 10mm trim package to bring up the front a bit if its too low.

every girl is different..i think any girl will just be happy with the idea of marriage if she is the right girl.

also..my mom wears both her rings still too this day.

My ex, who I'm still really good friends with, thinks we are getting married one day. I still like her, but I don't think I could stand living with her everyday. She's going into law and politics and wants to live in DC. Eff that noise.

I am very much not envious of people trying to figure out post-grad life together, seeing guys having to turn down job offers because it's too far away from their girlfriend or whatever. Fuck that, I'm going wherever there's money haha

There was no way I was going to drop two months salary on my wife's ring. Completely irresponsible in my mind when there are other things that we were saving for (house). She got the engagement ring and wedding band soldered together and wears them everyday - she says its good to keep the local creeps at bay. I went with quality rather than quantity on the diamond as I would rather see a smaller, more sparkly diamond than a larger and dull stone.

Any woman who complains about the size/price of the wedding ring is not ready to get married in my mind.

Hah, just make her move with you! I make the money in this family and if I need to move across the country to support us, she knows that she has to pack her bags too.

I would live in DC for a while if I had to, but I couldn't stand the politics. I would rather be in a small town with no drama like that. If she settles for state law I might pursue her for the future. She still has like 4 years of school left for her doctorate I believe.

I think everyone pretty much covered it. Every girl is different and if it's that much of a big deal for her, then I don't think I'd be marrying her anyway.

I'm weird in that I don't really like jewelry much. I see the more practical side of things like putting that money towards a house or the future. I've never understood why people fork out so much money for weddings either.

Nothing like spending that chunk of change and then finding out a few months later she's banging your mailman.

I definitely don't want to be tied down badly/controlled by someone either. I always feel bad for the people that are like "how do I convince my wife to wheel with me?" or "my wife gets pissed when I do mods to my truck" it bugs me. I need someone who can support my decisions. I can understand making sacrifices for each other but even if they didn't like to wheel or whatever, just be happy you get to spend time with your significant other. :p
