    Remove valve cap.
Spit on tip of pointer finger.
Place spit on valve core and watch for air bubbles indicating leaking valve core.

Oh, so basically you're talking about the poor mans way of spraying soapy water on it? Haha

I knew about the spraying liquid way, just thought you meant something different.

Haha yeah, the one downside to being 21. Spending more money for alcohol. I'd thinking I won't buy much, but we'll see.

Been reading through some of the expedition trips on Expedition Portal. I can't wait to start getting a bed rack, RTT, and a bunch of other camping gear!

This summer I'm going to do a camping trip along the CA coast. I'll have my shell, bed air mattress, and yeti cooler by then. I already have the other camping gear needed. Not really an expedition, but it will all be done with my truck and I'll be staying in my truck.

That's awesome! I'm hoping to get at least a bed rack and RTT so I can do a little camping around the Ozarks late Summer/early Fall
I've read it before, but it can never hurt to read again haha

I think I'm just going to end up buying an All Pro bed rack. I originally wanted one of Box Rocket's bed racks, but I'm starting to like the look of a full bed rack better now... Plus it can hold much more stuff!

How exactly do you go about planning a trip like that? That's what I'm having trouble with the most.

I've been told it really isn't that hard. I like expo trailers, but I don't like the idea of pulling a trailer. Yes it sucks having to pack everything every time you want to leave, but I want to camp somewhere different every night.
    True... :puke:

A full on bed rack allows many benefits, i happened to get a bestop, so I'm going to add the bed rack OVER the bestop so i can have my RTT mounted and still have a full bed, protected from the elements as well.

As far as planning for the trip.. I plan on stopping in all the states in between SC and Canada to meet up with local TW members, and for pictures of the states attractions and parks.

As far as ACTUAL planning, I'm starting off with the budget. I figure it's about 2100 miles round trip.

I assume i get 330 Miles in 18 gallons(the gas light comes on around 18 gallons used from many times of watching my scanguage and filling up.) that means that i'll have to fill up about 6-8(in case i make extra stops) times which at an average of 65$/tank because gas is more expensive up in the north, i already have to set aside about 550$ for fuel alone, this will honestly be my major expense as i already have all the high ticket items i plan on taking with me (Just got a Yakima Mega Warrior roof basket, RTT).

Everything else(water, clothes, munching food,Prob gonna pick up some containers for the bed to keep everything in so i can stay organized and keep the cab clean, I'm still trying to work out the finer details but it's just something to think about when you plan on living out of the truck for an extended period of time, I'm no expert but from reading, i've still got a lot more thinking and packing to do.
