Yeah. The way the suspension was(think it was twin I beam idk) if you just turned it over(passenger side to driver, driver side to passenger) it gave you lift. Enough to run them big ass tires lol

And no, never. I wanna gain ground clearance. Don't want a DB even though it I'd much cheaper than the route I want to take

Took about 3 months before the driver side ripped. About 4-5 months for the passenger side one. They're fine as long as they don't start making noise. Then I'll go buy some CVJ remans or Lotus axles and have a couple autozone ones as spares...

If that thing had like 18x10 rims with 37x12.50x18's it would look fine imo...

    The nice and simple stuff

    :woot:
    lasted longer than i figured

ehh, the DB looks to cluttered to me, if it's got that much lift it needs a SA

I just noticed he doesn't have blocks in the rear, i wonder how he managed that?

It's sad that like the widest 37 you can get is a 14.50 but that's for a 15 inch rim... I'm gonna have a set on the Ford though. Lol if I were to go higher than a 35 on the yota I would go to 38 15.50 18s. I love fat tires

You can get leaf springs in almost any amount of lift from a leaf spring shop like Alcan springs.

I like my 12.50's, but I don't think I would ever go any wider, even if were putting 37's on. Strictly from a trail driving point of view, not looks haha

I kind of want spacers now after seeing BoxRocket's stance.... :anonymous:

    That is true
I didn't think you could get 9-10'' lift springs.

gross. biggest you should ever go is 17 imo. anything bigger is just too much rim

also with the cvs, mine ripped where yours and everyone elses did because the boot was old and dry rotted in its place, so upon lift it stretched and tore. after i replaced the boots I had zero problems. because they are much softer and more flexible.
:confused:what? how he managed what? lifting it? Its called a custom built leaf pack, or even a 6" or 8" leaf pack.

    yes, you absolutely can

You can get bigger than that.

And Brent. I come from the "redneck muddin" crowd so a wide tire helps in those situations. Besides, pizza cutters are ugly lol

Eh, if you're putting 37's on a show truck I could handle 18's. For something I plan to off road, yes I'd personally never go above 17" either, I'd prefer 15 or 16".

Makes sense since mine were the factory oem cv's. This is also why my inner seals have failed on the diff....

I'm probably still going to get the cvj axles since they are oem with high angle boots for about $430...

well who gives a shit about show trucks lol! i dont do anything for show (with the exception of cosmetic crap like plasti dip)

also, instead of 400 dollar cvs, just get 2 spares from any auto parts store for a hundred each and have infinite replacements haha (unless cvj is life time warranty). once you get new boots on there you shouldnt have problems.

I'd rather spend $400 once and not have to replace the cv because of the high angle boot and stronger oem axle every other year or so haha

They replace them if you break the axle, but not the boot.

Then how come people like BoxRocket, tomtom, Monte and many others have to replace their cv's?
