I have the Nikon D3100. Great camera and costs around $400. It's a DSLR (digital SLR) camera. Pretty damn easy to use in the Auto setting and still user-adjustable once you learn how to use it. It has 14.2 megapixel resolution and takes GREAT photos. I think I'm going to get a Nikon 1 S1 or 1 J2. Either of these would be good for you. They still take really good photos and are a bit smaller, which would be better for camping/wheeling/outdoors in general. Anything Nikon is awesome!!
EDIT: All the cameras I mentioned also shoot full 1080p HD video.

yeah I'm not trying to take "professional" pics just some great photos like you said and it sounds like that camera could do the trick.

i bet it will though. i drove my dads f 150 in there last week and the roof looked like it was getting pretty close to the over hangs, but the taco cab is so much lower i dont think it will be an issue.


but yes, fixing my truck will be a regular occurrence

wow! thats low. do they just not expect trucks to park in there? because the taco cabs sit pretty low, you would never get a full size in there.
