    You don't have to go into debt. Get a Credit Card and use it like a debit card. Only spend what you have in the bank

    Already do that. Got a credit card that only works on base back in July.

    I wasn't talking about having to go into debt to get good credit. I was talking about you saying bed credit is better than no credit. I'd rather slowly get good credit than have bad credit because I went into debt ;)

    It is a 96 so it isn't "classic car old" but compared to the new trucks it's old. I have Geico, I started with my parents then I went to my own account. I think that is the trick to it is to split from with your parents while staying in the same company. When I opened my 1st credit card my score was over 820. I think it was b/c my mom put me on some account of theirs.
