    trust me...the shit you should be learning in school, is not something you can learn in school. I keep experiencing it first hand, once you get out into your field in your first job its like trying to drink from a fucking fire hose on full blast. You might get one drop or two but its going to punch you in the face and you are going to feel stupid. Its incredible how even the simplest concepts that i know like the back of my hand in class disappear from my mind when Im trying to figure out a problem or work through a project. Slowly but surely im learning to break everything down into bite size pieces I know how to handle. Its eye opening for sure!

    oh come on, no where in the curriculum do they have a class where they hand you 12 manila folders full of loose leaf receipts and rental income info, 16 different properties under a newly developed LP, and a years worth of deposits and checks and a stack of bank statements and tell you to form a new quick books account so we can file their taxes. if you can tell that is what i was referring to above, that is what I got handed today, and ive never even set up a quick books company lol.

    And I get that shit regularly, that is the kind of stuff you just cant have in a class, because there are too many variables. You just have to do it and learn how to handle situations like that (and learn quick books, thats a skill i need to quickly master)

    you would think that! Only the most commonly used soft ware out there, but nope. As far as I know there is not a class for it.

    Quick books is another animal in itself. It is designed in large for people who arent accountants, so it does a lot of the technical stuff behind the scenes that most people wouldn't know why or how to do. So the hard part for me is learning what quick books does behind the scenes and how to take what I know, and put that into how quickbooks does it. It is also REALLY easy to fuck up your records in quick books if you dont know what you are doing. Easy to use, easy to make a mess of haha. But a powerful tool no doubt
