Yes and no. I went in there with full intentions of that being the last time I see her. A friend brought up the fact that she and I have already been through so much. I am giving her a chance to work on the plan that her therapists discussed with her, and we will see whether she mans up (so to speak) or if she fucks herself over. That's her call

I've been through a lot with my past relationships. Doesn't mean you have to stay together.

You already said yourself that she is not going to give you what you want in life as far as kids go...what if they inherit her problems? Then you have to deal with that the rest of your life. To me, you've already made your decision in your mind, it's just your heart and emotions blinding you...which everyone goes through. It's your choice obviously but that's my input on things.

It's NOT easy going through these things. You just need to stay strong and definitely find someone to talk to. I can honestly tell you that I wouldn't have been as well off if I haven't had Ben to talk to.

I agree with this. But, I have brain farts as well, and occasionally find that I have swallowed my foot, and most of my calf. That's never fun. I hope anyone who sees this exchange can learn from it.

In the end, I'm gonna let it slide. It's an internet forum, and most of the content is 2 dimensional text. Nothing that is said here can truly hurt me if I don't let it. I haven't encountered any forum trolls yet, but I imagine that if I stay here long enough I will, and I hope to handle that with a calm head as well.

I may not meet too many of you in my adventures; but it's my hope that if I do, we can kick back for a while, talk Toyota (or whatever suits our fancy), and maybe have a beverage!

Is it bad that I dread getting to see the gf just because I feel depressed for like 2 weeks after we're apart again? Haha

After being apart for about a month, I feel okay. Still want to see her, but it's not as bad when it's been a while.

 

She just called and said she needs to work on herself and wants to stay friends... Which is what I was saying when I went in to talk to her today... Da fuq woman?

Lauren gives sound advice, my man. Emotions can be a tough cookie to handle (now I want cookies...), and we all go through something similar at some point in our lives.

Mine was a girl named Amanda. That was a big lesson... Thankfully it didn't work out as planned. I would have been married at 21, probably have kids by now, and maybe a job that I hated. What felt like the worst period of my life actually helped mold me into who I am now. I joined a volunteer FD, got further educated, realized that I hated a desk job, and am now a fully certified Paramedic.

A lady is what you want. Someone that will be a fellow traveller with you, someone that you share your burdens with as she does with you, and someone that can knock you back into place when needed.

You're 19. Why did you have a relationship that serious in the first place?

 

I'm only 20 and have a serious relationship. I don't think him being 19 has anything specifically to do with it.

 

Our opinion obviously differs on this but at 19-20 both people in a relationship are still figuring out who they are, let alone someone else
